Processor Token

Processor tokens are optional, and can be used to tokenize sensitive information (such as account and routing numbers) between a bank linking provider and a payment service provider that they support, for example a Plaid-Checkout integration. Processor tokens do not expire and cannot be modified, but can be revoked at any time. They are used to make calls to the payment service provider (Checkout) on behalf of the bank linking provider (Plaid) without needing to directly pass the sensitize data. For example, Plaid can authorize Checkout to pull money from a user's bank account, and can send over a processor token instead of the raw account details for increased security. You can read more about them here. To generate one, use Meld's processor token endpoint. Currently, Meld supports processor tokens for Plaid and MX.
